FAQs

What is coaching?

Coaching is a partnership focused on empowering the client to achieve specific outcomes. Coaches are essentially thinking partners focused on helping clients use their creativity and resources to see beyond their blocks and solve their own problems.

Coaching is goal-oriented and future-focused. It helps clients to identify strengths, set goals, build skills, and create strategies to manage ADHD-related challenges in daily life.

How is coaching different from therapy?

Therapy is about answering the ‘why’ questions (Why did my father never say he loved me? Why did my mother get so depressed and then pass it on to me?). Therapy focuses on diagnosing and treating mental health issues, past trauma, addiction, and family dynamics.

Coaching is about the ‘who’, ‘what’, and ‘how’ questions (Who do you aspire to be? What are you ready to do to experience more love in your life? How can you immediately improve your situation?).

Coaching assumes a level of mental wellness and utilises tools like goal-setting, accountability, habit formation, and strategies tailored to ADHD and neurodivergent minds.

What are the typical reasons people might work with an ADHD coach?

People might benefit from working with an ADHD coach to help them explore how they think when they are unsure of how to move forward with decisions or actions.

I help clients unpack new insights and develop individual plans to achieve their goals. I do this through powerful questioning, active listening, non-judgmentalness, brainstorming, identifying barriers, reframing, and reflection.

How long does a coach work with an individual?

Initially, about 6-8 sessions either weekly or every other week. These sessions allow us to get a feel for working with each other and working together long-term.

Weekly, fortnightly, or monthly appointments are available. We’ll agree on a regular appointment time, which can be adjusted over time based on your needs and goals.

how much does it cost?

Introductory calls for 30 minutes are free.

Single appointments are $170 for 50 minutes.

A six appointment pack is $900 ($150 per 50 minute session).
